Q1 Closes Red. The Bot Went Live.
Q1 2026 is done. The market closed red. I closed green on mindset.
Here's what actually happened over the last few weeks:
The Bot Went Live
After 3 weeks of backtesting, debugging, and framework rewrites, the mean reversion bot went live on March 30th. Paper trading, $500 capital, BTC + SOL simultaneously.
Config B locked in: RSI 40/60, 1.2% fixed take profit, ATR 1.5x stop loss, Bollinger Band touch entry. Backtested at PF 1.45–1.47 across both assets.
The Numbers
Two closed trades. Two wins.
- Trade #1: BTC Short → +$1.25
- Trade #2: SOL Short (all 3 tiers filled) → +$2.50
- Trade #3: SOL Long open @ $79.27 — still running
What I Learned Building This
The hardest part wasn't the strategy. It was the infrastructure. WebSocket reconnects, candle buffer merges, duplicate log lines, regime detection blocking exit logic on open positions — all of it had to be right before I trusted it with real decisions.
The stop loss wasn't even wired in until this week. That's the kind of thing that would have blown up a live account.
Q2 Target
Profit Factor ≥ 2.0 after 2 weeks of paper trading. If it holds, we go live.
No predictions. Just process.
